Deepawali

Today is Deepawali. The most important festival for us, our country. It came and brought with it the joys we were all waiting. when I looked at the city line from the top of my house. it was beautiful indeed. the usual smoke from the crackers generally pollutes the sky so much that the lights would not be visible. Thanks to God this year, This Deepawali, there was rain and that washed any pollution and smoke in the sky, making the skyline really beautiful. compared to last year though, the lighting seemed less, may be the recession to blame. even the Govt. took austerity measures it looks, that it did light the vidhan sabha bhawan as it use to do, yet it was a beautiful sight to watch. the best lighting in my view was of the Genpact building. Gaurav towers did spend lot of money but it lacked the simplicity and boldness that the Genpact building exhibited. but then each building has its speciality which is suitable for a speciality lighting. the lighting of Gaurav towers is best enjoyed when seen from near to it. Clarks hotel had the similar lighting as it was in the last year. Sanghi towers had more occupants now, hence there were scattered lighting in different floors, indicating which are all occupied. Many flights did not land or takeoff from the airport, may be there was less rush because of the festive season, or possibly they changed the schedules. one more thing is apparent, compared to last year, this year the skyline raised around our house, so much so that the sight is more sore, may be next year our building will be dwarfed by all the high rise buildings around our home. this is growth, which is celebrated in Deepawali. Happy Deepawali to you all.
