THE DAY AFTER...... DEEPAWALI
The much awaited Deepawali is gone. Deep into the night, I could hear the noise of the crackers. Perhaps it was three O'clock I could get some sleep. I was up by 5:30 AM, half an hour late. The clouds gone, the sky was clear and Sun basked in his own morning warmth. As expected the roads were littered with burnt paper, rolls and mud pots of crackers etc. The Safaiwala came and did her duties. She cleaned entire colony by 9 AM. We are the luckiest one to have a devoted Safaiwala. I have never seen such a devoted person to her work ever. I am really proud that she is OUR safaiwala. With the help of ubiquitous Jain sahab, cleaned all around our complex. He is another devoted person to cleanliness. Thank God, it is for these persons our complex looks really tidy. By 9:30 we did not feel we had a festival and its aftermath clumsiness. Evening came and the complex gathered to celebrate Goverdhan Pooja.
